Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare To Host Blood Donation Discussion

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Faxton Saint Luke's Healthcare is hosting a presentation and discussion on blood donation this Wednesday.

The informational session will be held at 5 p.m. in the Weaver Lounge of the Faxton Saint Luke's Campus on Sunset Ave.

Linda Belton from American Red Cross Biomedical Services will discuss the impact and need for donation, as well as eligibility requirements and the donation process.

The American Red Cross reports more than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day in the United States, but only 38 percent of the population is eligible to donate.
