Faxton-St.Luke’s Offers New Radiation Therapy

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - Faxton-St. Luke's is offering new cancer treatment.

Citing it as "breakthough" technology, the delivery of radiation, through a product called, "RapidArc," delivers a "precise beam to the treatment area eight times faster than treatments used in the past."

Nancy Borden, director of Radiation Therapy at the hospital, says that this improves the ability to eradicate tumors while sparing normal tissues and making patients more comfortable.
