WIBX

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Faxton-St. Luke’s Volunteer Association got into the giving spirit this holiday season, as they presented the hospital with a large donation at their annual holiday party.

Jane Gwise, President of the Volunteer Association, presented the hospital with a check for $100,000, raised with the group’s gift shops and vendor sales.

Eileen Pronobis, executive director of the FSLH Foundation, and Anthony Scibelli, senior vice president of Operations, accepted the donation on the hospital’s behalf.

According to Faxton-St. Luke’s, in 2011, volunteers racked up more nearly 60,000 hours, totaling about $1.6 million in savings for the hospital.
