SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say more than a dozen people have been indicted on federal racketeering charges for their involvement with a violent gang in Syracuse.

The U.S. attorney's office announces Monday that 14 members or associates of the 110 Gang are named in the indictment that alleges the suspects used murder, robberies and assaults to control its territory on the city's southwest side.

Prosecutors say the gang sold drugs and committed credit card fraud to make money over the past six years. Officials say gang members committed two slayings and several shootings targeting rival gangs.

The suspects range in age from 23 to 42 and all are from Syracuse.

Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation, including the FBI, DEA, Syracuse police and New York State Police.
