Feldmeier Named New Herkimer County Democratic Chairperson

The Herkimer County Democratic Committee has voted to elect a new chairperson.

Arlene Feldmeier was elected to the position during a special committee meeting on Wednesday, according to a release from committee. Feldmeier takes over ''following the resignation of former Chair David Maxwell. Keith Rubino, who served as temporary chair, will continue as Vice Chair,'' the release stated.

Feldmeier, of Little Falls, is a former federal attorney for the Social Security Administration who was defeated by Republican Brian Miller for the 101st NY Assembly District last November.

In the release from the committee, Feldmeier mentioned plans to hold voter registration drives, host picnics and participate in local parades to encourage new membership.
