Whitesboro, NY (WIBX) - FEMA is opening another Disaster Recovery Center in Whitesboro on Wednesday. The office will be located on 171 Oriskany Boulevard. FEMA Public Information Officer Peter Lembessis says disaster victims must register with the agency to receive assistance. "And anybody who had damages between September 7th and September 11th, they need to register with FEMA. And the number to register is 1-800-621-FEMA, or go on line, www.disasterassistance.gov," he said. Oneida County was declared a Disaster Area following tropical Storm Lee. Lembessis says folks can also register at the new location opening up in Whitesboro. The deadline to register for assistance is November 14, 2011. Also, the DRC in Whitesboro will be open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
