WILTON, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say an inmate at a state prison south of the Adirondacks has been hospitalized after a fight.

The Times-Union of Albany reports that the incident Friday involving three inmates at Mount McGregor Correctional Facility in Wilton is being investigated. A union steward for corrections officers told the newspaper that the three involved inmates were stabbed.

Two of the inmates were treated in the prison's infirmary for minor injuries. The third inmate was being treated at Albany Medical Center Hospital for unspecified injuries.

Mount McGregor is one of four state prisons the state Department of Corrections announced this summer will be closed in July 2014.
