The office of a local realtor was damaged in a fire last night.

No one was injured in the fire at the Coldwell Banker Faith office, located at 2306 Genesee Street in Utica.  The property suffered serious damage but was not destroyed.

In a message on his Facebook page, proprietor John Brown posted the following:

"Tonight we are devastated by a fast moving fire that swept through our beautiful building ...the most important thing..no one was hurt... Coldwell Banker Faith will rebuild and be open in a temporary location in record time if anyone knows our determination when we set goals…you know will get through it… Thank you for already a wonderful outpouring of support from friends and fellow agents and most of all ...our family of agents and staff at Faith Properties...you gotta have Faith!"

The fire was discovered at approximately 7:30pm on Monday, November 18, 2014.

Authorities say there is no official word yet on what caused the fire, but emergency crews responded immediately to extinguish it.   An investigation into the cause is continuing.
