UCLA researchers have been testing the drug Ibudilast on meth addicts after the FDA fast-tracked human trials for the drug.  It could be the first cure for methamphetamine addiction, and may also be the first non-opiate drug treatment for heroin  addiction. Early tests show “that Ibudilast may dampen craving and improve cognitive functioning,“ said Dr. Aimee Swanson. There were around 439,000 meth users in the US in 2011, according to a RAND Corp. study.Meth Addiction Cure: UCLA Tests Ibudilast On Human Addicts: http://goo.gl/vvo01
