The Herkimer Oneida Organizations Active in Disaster Long Term Recovery Group held a meeting in Ilion today to update the public on flood response in Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

HOOAD announced the creation of two case workers who will now handle flood claims from residents going forward.

Brenda Episcopo of the Untied way says having the case workers for each county will make a big difference going forward.

One case worker is assigned to Oneida and Madison counties while the other will work with Herkimer County cases.

Catholic Charities of Herkimer County's new Disaster Case Manager is Theresa Scanlon, Herkimer County residents can reach her at (315) 894-9917.

Catholic Charities of Oneida Madison Counties will announce the name of its Disaster Case Manager soon. In the intreim, Jack Callahan is accepting calls from Oneida and Madison County residents at (315) 724-2158 ext. 260.
