Local hockey fans are mourning the death of an all-time great.

Former Clinton Comets star Ian Anderson died this morning after a long fight with multiple health issues.

The Utica Comets made the announcement on their Facebook page.

Anderson played five season with the Clinton Comets from 1965 to 1970 and was a two-time EHL All-Star.

The Utica Comets will honor Anderson with a moment of silence before Saturday’s game against the Rochester Americans.
