Utica, NY (WIBX) - If you have overdue book, video or CD from the Utica Public Library,  you can return them this week without paying a fine.

The Library is collecting non-perishable food items in lieu of fines during "Food for Fines" Amnesty Week.

Instead of paying a fine, you're asked to bring in food which will be donated to the Utica Community Food Bank.

The amnesty program does not cover lost or damaged books.

You can call the Utica Public Library for more information at 735-2279.
