Forged Check Arrest

State Police in Oneida have arrested a Marcy man for attempting to cash a forged check in the City of Utica. According to police, Lyle Cavaretta, 33, of Marcy, allegedly stole a personal check and tried to cash the forged check at the Bank of America in Utica.

Police say Cavaretta also violated an order of protection.

He is being held in the UPD lockup until arraignment.
