Utica, NY (WIBX) - The former president of Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute has died.

Milton Bloch served as president from 1991 to 2008.

During his tenure, he led the Institute through the largest period of growth in its more than 80-year history.

Current President, Anthony Spiridigloizzi, said Bloch's leadership forever changed the Institute and his greatest achievement was how he changed the working atmosphere.

Bloch is survived by his wife, two daughters, a brother, and four grandchildren.
