Former NFL play Chad Hennings was in Utica on Saturday for the Good News Center's 'Flags for Heroes' celebration in the city.  Hennings spoke during the ceremony on Saturday afternoon at Utica's Parkway Center.

Flags for Heroes is an annual event put on by the Good News Center to salute veterans and first responders.  1000 flags are spread across the Parkway median in Utica on and around Veteran's Day.

Hennings played eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to that he served in the United States Air Force.
