Former Oneida County Judge John Ringrose Passes Away

Flags at all Oneida County buildings will fly at half-staff through Friday in honor of former Oneida County Surrogate Court Judge John Ringrose.

Ringrose died on Monday at the age of 79.

He also served as an acting Justice of the Supreme Court and was an Oneida County Legislator.

County Executive Anthony Picente says Judge Ringrose embodied all the characteristics the public deserves in a member of their judiciary.  Picente says Ringrose was kind, fair, firm and intelligent and was a man dedicated to his community and his family.
