Charges stem from a from a fire that destroyed the former Oneida Casket Company factory building in Oneida. A former Oneida man was sentenced today in Federal Court in Syracuse in connection with a 2006 arson at the Oneida Casket Company Factory building.

55-year old Jeffery Truman was sentenced to 217 months in prison to be followed by three years of post release supervision.

He was also ordered to make restitution of over 548-thousand dollars to the Erie Insurance Company.

Authorities say Truman's son Jeffery set the fire, but a jury found that Truman Senior aided and abetted his son in committing the arson and attempted to defraud the insurance company.
