Former Syracuse University Football Player, Miami Dolphin Recovering from Hypothermia After Fishing Accident

A former football player swam almost ten miles to shore after falling from his fishing boat in Florida.

Rob Konrad is recovering from hypothermia after members of the U.S. Coast Guard found him on the shore in West Palm Beach early yesterday.

Friends of Konrad had alerted authorities after he did not return from his fishing trip.

Konrad was a fullback with Syracuse University, wearing the number 44 jersey, before spending six years with the Miami Dolphins.
