Fort Drum Soldier Killed In One Car Crash

A soldier from Fort Drum was killed in a one-car crash on Route 180 in Jefferson County.

State Police say 27-year old Cody Samuels lost control of his car, which left the road, became entangled in a electric fence wire and then overturned.

Samuels was ejected from the vehicle.

Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The investigation is continuing.
