Fort Drum Woman Charged with Arson after Allegedly Setting Fire to Her Own Home

A Fort Drum woman is being charged with arson after police say she allegedly set fire to her own home.

Dalila Colbert faces several charges, including endangering the welfare of a child after police say she intentionally set fire to her own home located on Iris Avenue in Fort Drum.

It happened at approximately 12:45am on Saturday, October 11, 2014.  Although there were people inside the home when the fire was allegedly set, there were no injuries reported.

Although Colbert resides at the Fort Drum base, she is not an active military member.  She was arraigned at the Town of Brownville Court and was sent to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building in lieu of bail.

The 28-year old Colbert is formally charged with second degree arson and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
