Utica, NY (WIBX) - Four people face illegal gambling related charges following a nearly two year investigation by State Police and the Oneida County District Attorney's Office.

Richard and Susan Dorsagno, Richard Dorsagno Jr and John Swift, all of Utica, face charges related to promoting gambling.

Dorsagno Sr, faces 17 counts of Promoting Gambling in the First Degree, an E Felony, along with one count of Possession of Gambling Records in the First Degree, also an E Felony.

Swift is charged with 14 counts of Promoting Gambling in the First Degree and a single count of Possession of Gambing Records in the First Degree.

Dorsagno Jr and Susan Dorsagno face misdemeanor charges of Promoting Gambling in the Second Degree.

Authorities say the group was involved in sports betting via internet websites, and were profiting from the illegal activities.

Search warrants were executed at Rick's Place bar on Mohawk Street and three homes in Utica.

Police seized over $220,000 in cash, records and two vehicles.
