Frankfort Man Arrested for Stalking After Climbing on Victim’s Roof

Herkimer Police responded to a residence on Monday for a report of a man on the back porch roof peering in a window.

Before officers arrived, 42-year-old Stephen Harrington had fled the scene. Authorities interviewed the victim and learned that Harrington had allegedly been following her and her family. The victim also claims that Harrington showed up at her home several times leaving notes and attempting to gain entry.

Police were notified that Harrington used a ladder from the garage to scale the back porch roof and look into a window. As a result police obtained an arrest warrant and located Harrington. He was arrested and charged with Stalking in the Fourth degree and Trespassing.
