Frankfort Woman Charged With Stealing From Herkimer Court

A Frankfort woman who was employed as the Town of Herkimer Court Clerk has been arrested for allegedly stealing money from the court.

Herkimer Police say 39-year old Tammy Butera stole money on multiple occasions, totaling just over one-thousand dollars.

Police say the thefts happened from September to November of last year.

Butera is charged with petty larceny and falsifying business records.

She was arraigned in Herkimer County Court and released on her own recognizance to return at a later date.
