Frankfort Woman Charged With Welfare Fraud

A Frankfort woman has been arrested following an investigation by the Herkimer County Sheriff's Department Welfare Fraud Unit.

Samantha Gardner allegedly received over $3,200 in food stamp benefits from June of last year through this March after failing to report her household income to the Herkimer County Department of Social Services.

Gardner is charged with welfare fraud and grand larceny.

Gardner was arraigned in Little Falls City Court and released on her own recognizance.
