If getting organized in 2018 is on your list of resolutions, you should start gathering any confidential paperwork you'd like to get rid of.

A free public paper shredding event is planned for Saturday morning outside Sangertown Square.

Confidata will have a shredding truck on site from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., and you can drop-off upto five boxes of confidential documents to be shredded and disposed of.

The event is organized by DeClutter Coach Deb Cabral, who is reminding everyone that January is 'GO Month', short for Get Organized.

Confidata will accept all types of office paper, file folders, old bills, junk mail, envelopes and other documents that contain sensitive information. No newsprint, magazines, binders or plastic report covers will be accepted.

The collection and shredding will be held near the Boscov's entrance on Seneca Turnpike in New Hartford. Residents simply need to drive up and unload their boxes, Staff will be available to assist, if necessary.
