Freedom Guide Dogs For The Blind Breaks Own Record

Cassville, NY (WIBX) - A local non-profit group is celebrating a record breaking milestone. Freedom Guide Dogs for the Blind announced that it broke its own record after successfully placing 32 guide dogs with blind people throughout the east coast.

Through its unique Hometown Training program, the group actually brings the dogs to the blind person's home to train them where they will eventually live and work. Traditional programs require that a client travel to a school for guide dog training. Freedom Guide Dogs will be celebrating its 20th anniversary next year. You can learn more about the group by visiting their website, www.freedomguidedogs.org.
