Whitesboro, NY (WIBX) - Organizers are diligently working to raise money to construct the Kurt B. Wyman Memorial Park.

A sign asking for donation was constructed by Town of Whitestown workers today along route 840 in Whitesboro. The commitee in charge of the fund raising and memorial park effort include, members of the Wyman family and Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

They say the reason for the park is to honor Kurt Wyman's memory and his love for children. Wyman is also being honored by state officials who passed a law in March to designate a portion of the state highway system between Deansboro and Clinton, "The Deputy Kurt Wyman Memorial Highway." The bill was sponsored by Senator Joseph Griffo.
