Verona, NY (WIBX) - A new date for the Notah Begay Foundation Challenge has been announced.

It'll take place on Wednesday, August 31st at the Turning Stone Resort's Atunyote Golf Course.

The event is a fundraiser for the Begay's foundation, with a mission to reduce incidences of obesity and diabetes among Native American youth. The foundation also looks to empower Native American youth as the leaders of tomorrow.

Begay, Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, Annika Sorenstam, Cristie Kerr, Suzann Pettersen and Natalie Gulbis will play in the one day, four-on-four best ball tournament with a purse of $275,000. 

The event was orginally scheduled to be played July 5th, but was delayed to allow Tiger Woods to heal from a lingering knee injury that his kept him out of the links of late. Woods withdrew from the Players Championship in mid-May and has not returned to action wince.
