Gas Prices Continue To Fall

Utica, NY (WIBX) – There’s good news at the gas pumps as we head into the Fourth of July Weekend.
AAA’s Ed Welsh says prices are continuing to decline.
The average price in the Utica-Rome market is $3.78 a gallon down 31 cents since May 12th when prices hit a high of $4.09.
Welsh says he expects gas prices to get down into the 3-50′s in the next few weeks and that’s where they’ll probably bottom out.
Motorists are paying about 85 cents a gallon more than they were at this time last year.
AAA is predicting 39 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this weekend, a 2% decrease from last year.
