CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Retail gas prices in northern New England are on their way down.

Gas price website GasBuddy's survey says the average retail gasoline prices in Vermont have fallen 3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.36. In New Hampshire, average prices have gone down 2.3 cents per gallon, to $2.27. Prices in Maine have fallen nearly a penny, to $2.39 a gallon.

The national average has fallen 3.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.30 per gallon.

The national average has climbed 46.6 cents per gallon from a year ago.
