Gas Station Clerk Shot Overnight in Utica

A convenience store clerk at the Atlas gas station in Utica is recovering this morning after being shot last night.

Two men, described as black males wearing masks, are said to have entered the store on Mohawk and Rutger Streets and threatened the clerk at approximately 7:35pm on Monday night, December 23, 2013.

During the course of the robbery the suspects shot the clerk in the stomach.  In a written release Utica Police say the victim's wounds do not appear to be life-threatening.
