Geer Appointed Acting President At SUNYIT

The State University of New York Board of Trustees has appointed Robert Geer as acting President of SUNY IT in Marcy.

Geer will take over for Wolf Yeigh, who's leaving to take a job as Chancellor at the University of Washington Bothell.

Since 2007, Geer has served as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Office, as well as professor of Nanoscale Science at the University of Albany.

Geer's appointment is effective August 1st at an annual salary of $220,000.
