Ten local elected officials were at Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro on Friday morning for the Genesis Group's 14th annual Community and Legislative Forum.

The lawmakers discussed issues including, jobs, ecnomic development and taxes.

Ray Durso, Executive Director of the Genesis Group, says over 300 people attended the forum, including several groups of high school and college students.

Participants in the forum included Congressman Anthony Brindisi, Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri, Rome Mayor Jacqueline Izzo, Senators Joseph Griffo and James Seward, Assembly members Brian Miller, Marianne Buttenschon and Robert Smullen and Herkimer County Legislature Chairman Bernard Peplenski.

Picente announced that Oneida County will be announcing the hiring of an Economic Development Director in the next couple of weeks.
