Philadelphia, PA (WIBX) - Scoop Jardine scored 20 points in his native Philadelphia to lead No. 20 Syracuse over 15th-ranked Villanova 69-64. It's a third straight win for the Orange who returned the favor after losing at home to the Wildcats one month ago.

Freshman Dion Waiters made two clutch free-throws with 14 seconds remaining in the second half to give the Orange a 67-64 lead. Waiters, who finished with seven points, initially appeared to be injured after a hard foul from Villanova's James Bell.

Rick Jackson gave the Orange (23-6, 10-6 Big East) another strong performance with 18 points and four blocks. Brandon Triche added 11 points.

Villanova's Corey Stokes returned to action after a three game absence due to a toe injury, scoring 24  points. Stokes accounted for all of the Wildcats' three pointers, shooting 5 of 10 from deep, while the rest of the team was a combined 0-20.

Syracuse will visit No. 11 Georgetown on Saturday afternoon before closing out the regular season against DePaul at the Carrier Dome on Saturday March 5th.

Villanova (21-7, 9-6 Big East) has three ranked opponents in its final three games, No. 25 Rutgers, No. 9 Notre Dame and sixth-ranked Pitt.
