(Indianapolis, IN) -- The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots 21-17 to win Super Bowl 46. It's the second championship in five seasons for the Giants after defeating New England 17-14 in Super Bowl 42. The Giants have now won a total of four Super Bowls, with their only loss coming to the Ravens in Super Bowl 35. Eli Manning was named MVP of the game after throwing for 296 yards and a touchdown. The 65-year-old Tom Coughlin becomes the oldest head coach to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Manning also surpasses his older brother Peyton with two Super Bowl victories. Peyton beat the Bears in Super Bowl 41.
