Gillibrand Making Access To Farmers’ Markets A “SNAP”

Washington, DC (WIBX) – Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is making access to farmers’ markets a “SNAP.”
New York is receiving $269,446 in federal funding to bring wireless access to farmers markets, enabling recipients of benefits who use EBT cards to get produce and locally-grown food at more than five hundred markets across the state.
More than 3-million New Yorkers receive “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program,” or “SNAP,” funding.
