Gillibrand Releases Tax Returns On Sunlight Report

Washington, DC (WIBX) - New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is letting you see her tax returns.

Adding a new feature to her website as part of her "Sunlight Report," she has posted her tax returns for every year she's held elected office.

Gillibrand says that she is trying to lead by example, posting both her schedule and financial information on her website.

She is the first senator to post her financials directly on her website.

Last year Senator Gillibrand showed an adjusted gross income of $165,614 and paid $38,563 in state and federal taxes.  As an elected official she posted the highest earnings in 2008, making $397,792 and paying $129,012 in state and federal taxes.
