Good News Foundation Announces New Veterans Initiative

Over 1,000 United States flags will placed on the Memorial Parkway in Utica this Veteran's Day weekend.

It's part of the the Good News Foundation's "Flags For Heroes and Families" initiative to honor veterans, active military and their families. A parade will also be held on the Parkway on November 7th.

Executive Director Michael Buckley says many times veterans and their families face serious challenges, especially after a tour of duty.  He says it's important we do everything we can to honor their service to our country.

All proceeds from the project will benefit Good News Foundation programs that support military personnel and their families.
