Soon it will be possible for consumers to buy items that they are searching for on the Internet immediately after finding them on the search page.

The announcement was made by Google's chief business officer on Wednesday, May 28th, saying a buy button is "imminent."

Such a button would make it unnecessary to go to a third-party site after a user search for an item.

The feature is expected to be available first on mobile devices.

Analysts say Google's announcement is in response to increase competition from Amazon, where more and more people are searching for products every day.
