St. Paul, MN (WIBX) - Some GOP staffers may be celebrating victories in other parts of the country but not those headquartered just down the street from Minnesota's State Capitol.

The Republican Party of Minnesota was served an eviction notice last week after reportedly failing to pay rent for the past eight months.

There are twenty-one months left on the lease with Hub Properties Trust.  Despite figures from the latest federal campaign report filed that the state GOP is $1 million in debt, Chairman Pat Shortbridge has insisted that they will not be evicted.

A hearing has been scheduled for next week.
