Gordon Tears Up Phoenix

Jeff Gordon broke a 66 race winless streak at the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at the Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday.   After the race, the cars left the track and the backhoes showed up to start a major track repaving project.   The new surface and track modifications will be ready for the November 13th Kobalt Tools 500, now the second to last Chase Race on the Sprint Cup schedule.    The series moves to Las Vegas for the Kobalt tools 400 on Sunday.
