You'll now be able to enjoy a mimosa or Bloody Mary with your Sunday brunch.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed the so-called "Brunch Bill."

Cuomo signed the legislation today at the Genesee Brew House in Rochester.

“New York’s burgeoning craft beverage industry has served as an economic generator for communities across the state and with this legislation, we are building on that progress,” Governor Cuomo said. “By cutting red tape, breaking down artificial barriers and rolling back arcane and burdensome regulations, we are setting the stage for this industry’s continued resurgence and future growth and I am proud to sign it into law.”

The bill allows restaurants and bars to serve alcohol starting at 10 a.m. on Sundays instead of noon, updating state alcohol laws that date back to the end of prohibition.

In addition, restaurants and bars outside of New York City will soon be able to apply for a permit to open at 8 a.m., up to 12 times a year for early morning sporting events .
