Albany, NY (WIBX) - Governor Andrew Cuomo is calling for all flags at the state government buildings to be flown at half-staff to honor a fallen New York State Marine.

Marine Corporal Christopher Bordoni of Ithaca died earlier this week at the San Antonio Military Medical Center after circuming to injuries he sustained while serving in Afghanistan.

Bordoni, who was just 21 years old, was critically injured in January after a suicide bomber entered the area he was patrolling in the Kajaki district.

Governor Cuomo said he will "join all New Yorkers in mourning the loss of Corporal Bordoni."
