Governor Andrew Cuomo continues his tour of upstate college campuses with a visit to Mohawk Valley Community College this afternoon.

Cuomo will be at MVCC to discuss Start-Up NY.

The program will designate tax-free zones around SUNY campuses, with eligible businesses having all state taxes waived for ten years.

The state Legislature approved the plan last week.

UPDATE 6:00 p.m.- Governor Cuomo paid a vist to the area today.

The Governor was at Mohawk Valley Community College to detail the major accomplishments for upstate New York that passed the state legislature in the final days of the legislative session.

Cuomo also talked about Start-Up New York, which will designate tax-free zones around SUNY campuses.

He also signed the Start-Up New York Act at MVCC.
