Griffo and Magee Propose New Harness Track Legislation

Albany, NY (WIBX) - State Senator Joseph Griffo and Assemblyman William Magee are sponsoring legislation that could protect the Vernon Downs Harness Track.
The proposed legislation aims to prohibit the creation of any new harness horse racetracks within 75 miles of an existing harness track.

According to the New York State Racing and Wagering Board, there are no applications for any new harness track licences within the Central New York area.
