Griffo Appointed To New Leadership Post

Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos is announcing he has appointed Senator Joseph Griffo to a new leadership role of Liaison to the Executive branch.

The position is an important link between the Senate Majority and the Governor's office on a multitude of public policy issues.

"Senator Griffo is a dedicated public servant and an effective advocate for the people of the Mohawk Valley and Northern New York," Skelos said. "The liaison position requires a member who is a vocal advocate for the Senate Majority's priority issues, as well as a good listener and a good communicator. I have no doubt that Senator Griffo will be a great asset as we work to grow our economy, keep taxes low and provide our children with a top-notch education."

Griffo will also join the Senate Codes Committee which makes recommendations on changes to the State's criminal and civil justice system.

He is also on the Senate Select Committee on Science, Technology, Incubation and Entrepreneurship.
