State Senator Joseph Griffo says the region has struggled for a long time and he views the agreement as a positive step.

Griffo says he remains confident that a course can be charted that will be beneficial to the Oneida Indian Nation, as well as the taxpayers, homeowners and small businesses throughout Oneida and Madison Counties.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says the agreement will benefit Oneida County taxpayers.

He says revenue sharing will help hold the line on property taxes and prevent the area from being oversaturated with casinos.

Brindisi commends the Governor and the Oneida Nation on coming to a common ground agreement that is a win for everyone involved.
