Griffo, Brindisi Request Federal Disaster Declaration
Senator Joseph Griffo and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi have asked Governor Cuomo to request a federal disaster declaration for Oneida County due to the severe flooding.
Griffo and Brindisi say a number of homeowners and businesses have sustained significant and perhaps permanent damage.
The lawmakers have also asked that the State Office of Emergency Management and other state agencies currently assessing the damage expidite the process.
Brindisi has also joined his state legislative colleagues in Herkimer County in requesting a federal disaster declaration for that county.
