Six senate committees gathered at the Griffiss Institute today for a joint hearing on cyber security.
Experts in law enforcement, finance and computer science were on hand to discuss the State's preparedness against cyber-attacks.

Six committees including the Select Committee on Science, Crime victims, Insurance, Veterans and banking oversaw the hearing.

Some of the issues discussed were the state's readiness against a cyber-attack and how protected New Yorker's are against things like online insurance scams and identity theft.

Senator Joseph Griffo said its important to take a close look at what the state is doing to prevent cyber-attacks that could affect our security, economy and our government.
