Senator Joseph Griffo will be attending the Mass celebrated by Pope Francis this evening at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Griffo says he's honored to have been invited by the Archdiocese of New York to attend today's Mass.

He says The Holy Father has become a refreshing voice in the Church, and he's pleased that he's sharing in New York his universally inspiring message of love and respect for life.

As a Catholic, Griffo says it is a privilege to hear Pope Francis celebrate Mass and share in the experience of his spirited visit to our state.
